Slitting production line is also called longitudinal shear unit, slitting machine, cutting machine, shears, which is mainly used for tinplate, galvanized iron, silicon steel sheet, cold rolled strip steel, stainless steel strip, aluminum strip, steel strip and other coil material slitting and shearing. Its purpose is to cut the metal coil material into the required various widths of strips, and then collect the strips into small rolls for the next process. Slitting line is the necessary equipment for the transformer, motor industry and other metal strips of fine shear.
Slitting line usually consists of several parts, like coil stands, coil traction equipment, cutting knives, cutter stands, winding racks, and control systems.

Slitting machine type
Parallel blade cutting machine. The two blades of the shears are parallel to each other. It is usually used for transverse cutting of fledgling billets (square, slab) and other square and rectangular sections of billets, so it is also called billet shearing machine. Such shears sometimes also use two forming blades to cold cut rolled parts (such as round tube billets and small round steel, etc.), at which time the shape of the blade is appropriate to the cross-section shape of the cut.
Inclined blade cutting machine. The upper blade of the shearing machine is inclined, while the lower blade is horizontal. Each other is in a certain Angle position. The upper blade inclination ranges from 1° to 6°. This kind of shearing machine is often used for cold shear and hot shear steel plate, strip steel, thin slab and welded pipe blank. It is also sometimes used to cut small pieces of steel into bundles.
